Nicotine strengths are measured by milligrams (mg), and many of our e-liquids are available with 0mg of nicotine. If the product has nicotine, it will be in a freebased blend unless it is labelled “nic salt”, “salt nic”, or “nicotine salts”, which offers higher nicotine levels with a stronger throat hit. Nicotine salt blends are not recommended for any sub-ohm mods, as they are harsher to your device. They are best used in smaller pod systems like the Vaporesso Luxe Q or the VooPoo V.THRU.
When choosing your nicotine levels, you should consider your current habits, such as how much you were or are smoking, and how often you vape. Alongside flavor profiles and nicotine strength, another piece to consider is a product’s VG/PG ratio. Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerine (VG) make up the base, food-grade flavoring creates the great taste, and nicotine is added in a variety of strengths, either as freebase nicotine or nicotine salt. One of the more common ratios is 70/30 VG/PG. It offers a balanced, smooth hit with heavy cloud production. It pairs well with sub-ohm systems, but works in many of the other pod systems Kure offers. A 50/50 VG/PG blend is also common, with a more defined, familiar throat hit that comes from smoking. E-liquids high in VG are best fit for sub-ohm coils, which are standard in tanks with box mods, as it needs a more powerful device to heat it. VG helps to enhance dessert and fruit e-liquids with its naturally sweet flavor. A blend with a higher ratio of PG will offer more of a satisfying throat hit, which often helps the transition from smoking to vaping. Propylene Glycol does not have the naturally sweet flavor of VG, and thus offers a bright, direct flavor profile.
